Cuvelier Los Andes

Grand Vin Red Blend 2018

Ming L
9.2

Beautiful Malbec leading blend. The aromatic nose shows ripe candied fruits (more blue than black), cocoa, warm spices, violet, and touches of mint and eucalyptus. Gentle and silky on the palate with good acidic backbone. Fine grained assertive tannins.
Give it another 4-5 years, but irresistible now.

Perrier-Jouët

Blason Rosé Brut Champagne Blend

This lovely rosé is starting to show some age - I’ve had the bottle at least six years so understandable that it has toasty pastry and brioche notes along with a hint of hazelnut, dried cherry and candied raspberries. Very appealing - clean, crisp and refreshing. Very much the PJ style of medium-bodied wine and a lovely color approaching tawny. — 3 months ago

Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2021

Popped and poured; enjoyed with a simple meal of pasta all’arrabbiata and over the course of a few hours. The 2021 pours a deep ruby color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Morello cherry, orange bitters, exotic spices, black tea, black licorice, some dried green herbs and gravely earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and lithe in body. I’ve long been a fan of Fèlsina fan and their Chianti Classico and Riserva especially so. When it’s a great vintage like 2021? Back up the truck. These will drink well through 2031 with ease. I can’t wait to try the CCR! — 3 months ago

La Rioja Alta

Gran Reserva 904 Rioja Tempranillo Graciano 2015

Has a nice deep fragrance cherry, chocolate and leather and balsamic!
Has rich flavor of spice, dark cherries, and dark chocolates. Spice lingers on the palate, but remains smooth.
