Fattoria La Lecciaia (Pacini)

Manapetra Riserva Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2013

Light nose, slightly floral, and almost a burnt orange translucent color. A little tart cranberry and full of tannins. I aerated it but it definitely needs more to mellow. Great wine especially for the price. — 2 years ago

After 3 days of being away and eating out, it’s good to be home, especially with wine like this. Ridge never disappoints. — 2 years ago

Groth Vineyards & Winery

OAKCROSS PRORIETARY RED Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2018

Beautiful Bordeaux Left Bank release from Groth. Still incredibly youthful but you can already smell the effort. Give this 2018 time to evolve in the glass or decant. Cassis coming through, oak, and olive tapenade from the Merlot. Tons of baking spices. Nutmeg and coriander and a touch of Chinese 5-spice and cinnamon. Big mouthfuls of tannin and acidity. This wine is meant for aging. 78% Cab, 20% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot. The Merlot shines brightly and really rounds out the wine beautifully. Not another Napa one-note Cab blend, this is legit. Big heat 14.9%
