Of course this bottle would be presented at the 100 point collectors dinner. Simply stated: complete elegance! My favorite style of Bordeaux. Complex aromatics and palate with notes of blackberry liqueur, fennel, pencil violets and sweet toasted oak. A perfect bottle! — 8 years ago
My buddy @Mike R and his lovely wife drove all the way out to the sticks to meet me and my daughters on our country vacation and we met at a little diner and brought a few wines to share....I meant to bring the ‘13 Scarecrow but mistakenly grabbed the ‘14 because of the damn tissue wrap. No worries with the vintage mix up—it absolutely shined bright like a diamond as did Mike and Rhonda who immediately make you feel at ease and happy when you see them. The Scarecrow was resplendent in dark chocolate, Jamaican coffee, rich soil, smoke and buoyant sweet purple fruit. Astonishing purity, acceleration through the mid palate and a very lengthy velvet coated finish. Superb performance for such a nascent wine and the company was beyond compare. @Mike R drove me home to my farm afterword and we hit a deer (it and his car are OK) on the way and we ended the evening shooting off fireworks on the back porch. Pure country goodness. — 6 years ago
Deep and dark ruby red with a purplish core. Started to open up after an hour with subs intense aromatics. Dark fruits, black cherries, cherry liquor, twigs, dark cocoa and deep purple floral undertones. Moderate plus oaky tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Completely grips the palate from the attack through the finish. Mouthwatering acidity, delicious. Dark and rich on the palate; dark spices, tons of dark cocoa, cinnamon. Notes of black raspberries and cherries. A little toasty too. Started to get a bit more rounded on the palate as it opened up. Stunning wine that will only improve with time. Drink till 2033. Dark reddish purple. Lovely nose of blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate, and licorice as well as graphite and cedar. Full bodied with concentrated and juicy dark fruit and soft tannins on the palate. Blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, and 3% Merlot. 14.6% ABV. — 6 years ago
To quote @Mike R this had us smiling from ear to ear. A completely balanced, yet complex wine. Layers of cassis and kirsch on the nose, dark fruits - blueberry, blackberry - mingle with cigar box and wet rock (in such a good way) on the palate. Medium bodied - it’s not terribly viscous - but super integrated tannins and acid. I loved this wine. LOVED. Sweet spot for sure. — 6 years ago
Hello, there. You were so ostentatious in your youth - now you are regal and refined. So much black fruit for a 15 year old wine! Great structure remains, but I would drink up in the next two or three years if you have had the patience to keep a bottle of this one around. Sadly, it was my last. #clifflede — 7 years ago

Just a few bottles from an awesome Open That Bottle Night celebration this past weekend.
So young, and that was after this being open an hour or so. Gripping. Currant, blackberry, plum and underripe black cherry. Tannic and powerful on the palate. This is still on an upward trajectory. — 6 years ago
