The Fall Confrerie St Etienne dinner highlighting Alsatian whites alongside French and Napa reds. A delightful evening!
The nose on this was intoxicating. Screamed American oak...coconut and dill. Very sweet oak on the nose. Like most ‘13s, they are in a tight phase. Tannic and overbearing unless decanted for a long time. This will be gorgeous in 5-7yrs. Lots of blue and black fruit alongside cedar and nutmeg IF you give it enough air time.

I cut my teeth on this wine in the early this 2000s. It's still great stuff but it also used to be half the price.

Still one of my favorite Napa wines of the year. The '13 Blueprint is not bashful. It's big and bold and fruity and chocolatey and will coat your mouth. And I love it for those very reasons
