Blind #2. Tasters honed in on Syrah. New world followed. Beautiful example. Strong deduction by the tasting group. Fascinating next to the 2016 Guigal Cote Rotie.

A personal favorite. Enthralling aromatics. Bright and zesty. Olives galore. 13.9% abv.
Happy to have several more bottles. No rush.

Just how I like my Syrah. Zesty and peppery up front but leading to a more savory core of olives, violets, and wild brambly fruit. 40% whole cluster in neutral oak. Very complex with something to appreciate no matter your preferred style of the grape.

Pepper and plums. Good texture.

Insane. In the lineup for best affordable domestic syrah.

A bit fruit forward and jammy. Needs to open up. Paired with grilled tri tip, mashed potatoes and green beans and kale. Great compliment with grilled meat.

Albeit a bit young, the 2018 Syrah with its deep purple fruit is steeped with fruit with a slight vegetal quality. Exquisite with cheese and fruit.
