Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Bright straw gold with almost rosey highlights. Inviting nose of underripe pear and balsa wood. Echoed on the “2%-milky” (I.e., not quite “creamy”) palate adding lime rind and a hint of limestone. Medium full mouthfeel and medium plus acidity round it all out. Excellent expression of the California lightly-Fumê style SB. Weighty enough for roasted poultry and firmer fish, but still lithe enough for greens and shellfish. Not on the way out but I wouldn’t hold much beyond 2023.

Tried this again, Pale lemon with aromas of tropical and citrus fruits and grassy floral notes. On the palate pineapple and melon flavors, lime with an underlying sweetness, crisp and refreshing with vivid acidity. Medium finish, good balance ending with citrus mineral characteristics. Nice! Consistent!

Slight green pea nose gives way to a soft lemon and pineapple palate. Texture, acid, finish are complementary. Nice entry into Napa sauv

Apple, lemon candy, grapefruit, peach, slate and orange. Bright acidity and good minerality.

- The 2018 Groth Sauvignon Blanc is a seriously good new release wine from this storied Napa estate. The palate combines weight and freshness with a light dusting of smoke and salted Marcona almond that combine with citrus zest and starfruit flavors. Enjoy this refreshing style Sauvignon Blanc in its youth while the brightness remains. Drink 2019-2022- 91

We had the 2018 Vintage on 7/26-27/20. Nice tastes of lemon and grapefruit. A well balanced wine with no acidic bite. A good value

Lime zest, grapefruit, honeydew melon.

Clean , crisp and citrus

Good acidity with succulent melon and some citrus tang.
