I know I committed infanticide but I wanted to share a special bottle with a favorite cousin who never has an opportunity to drink a wine like this . A powerful , and complex nose of blueberries, florals, and red fruit. On the palate the wine was constantly changing and continuously putting weight on. Deep and concentrated flavors of  plums, chocolate , tobacco and licorice that suppressed the wine’s tannic structure.

Merry Christmas all! Opened this Christmas Eve at 9am, but by 5:15pm, it wasn’t ready. So we tried again Christmas dinner. Gorgeous. Dried fruit, cocoa, tobacco. Long smooth finish. Can’t wait to try it again in 10 years or so…

Layered exotic and supple. This is definitely in the zone. There is a lot going on. Rich dark fruit. Ripe currants, smoke and earthy. Decanted. Give it 20-30 minutes to open.
