2002. In the same cellar spot since release. Youthful color, no bricking. The fruit might be fading a bit… but it’s silky smooth at 20 years old. Happy Thanksgiving!

To welcome the New Year property, here's a 16 year old iconic Cabernet Sauvignon.

Happy New Year to all 🍷

Dark ruby in color with a short brick rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, earth, wet leaves, herbs, peppercorn, pencil lead, tobacco, coffee and dark chocolates.

Medium plus in body, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, vanilla, cedar, leather, chocolates, tobacco, licorice, black pepper, spices, pencil lead, bitter herbs, vegetables, earth, leaves and tobacco leaf.

Medium finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This iconic Bordeaux blend from Napa is very unique and special. Showing great complexity with a nice and soft mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle and better after 2 hours of airtime. Good by itself as a drinking wine. A good wine to sip on and talk about.

I had it blind and it really reminds me of a Left Bank Bordeaux. Fruity and earthy at the same time. Mellow and easy drinking. Enjoyable, tasty, smooth and elegant.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.

14.2% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$150.

Wearing its wood a bit at the moment, but the mid palate shows good weight. Expected more length but that is probably a result of the tannic finish.

Too much oak overpowered the still vibrant red and black fruit. Disappointing.
