Napa Valley Proprietary Red Blend

I was a little surprised with this, even more so given the vintage. The nose displayed age, wood and spices.
The palete was a touch gnarly. Overall, the wine lacked linearity and integration. Maybe with age it will come together, but at this stage, it's not there.

I'm a Harlan fan and this was an impressive contribution but it underperformed. I picked up a lot of oak here and a lot of sweet big fruit. Volatile. Another hold.

Biggest disappointment in wine that I've ever had. Given there were three of us, all sommeliers, we think something went wrong with this bottle.

Drinking beautifully. Needed 3.5 hours in the decanter. Dark fruits, Forrest floor, hint of mint

Pronounced oak/wood overshadowed the wine and underlying fruit. Deep inky purple and built to last. Maybe just too early to drink.

Quite a surprise for a 2007 vintage. Better than expected one of the jewels of the evening

My first time trying something from the Harlan Family. Did not disappoint. Drinking nicely now. Refined tannins.
