I find this an a-typical Valbuena. Not a lot of fruit, amorphous, sharp, not a wine that will last much longer. Disappointing.

More savory. Blue fruit, herbs with iodine and a light salinity. Really delicious

The nose has nice blue & dark purple fruits. The fruit taste is the same, ripe and juicy and then slips into a rustic Tempranillo style. Soft dusty tannins that grip dry. The wine also processes an array of nice purple florals. Acidity is just about right. You can drink it now but it's likely better in 2-3 years.

Shockingly accessible out of the gate. Almost at the end of the bell curve, though; give it another year or so and then it's lay down time for Valbuena.

Focused. Tannins in stellar alignment. Young but opinionated
