I enjoyed this more than the Marcassin 2013 I had earlier in the week. There is superb balance and detail and unlike the Marcassin, it showed restraint and elegance rather than pure richness and opulence. A very well made wine.

Lovely and approachable from the start. Very nutty at the beginning. Acidity remained throughout. Creamy citrus, brown butter, creme brulée, and a nice weightiness to it. This one still has quite a bit of time.

Floral aromas and honeysuckle rise from the glass, very yellow and bright, a little confection that overpowers at first but it blows off quickly. Honey, lemon curd, hazelnut. I really like these new SVDs from Aubert.

This wine certainly delivered! Magnum in fantastic shape. Have loved every Aubert Chardonnay I tasted but first time having the Sugar Shack. Beautifully integrated ok in the nose and well balanced on the palate. Complex while still being lean. Perfect weight, long and rich finish. Awesome!
