Bright carnation pink with fine persistent bubbles. Inviting nose of strawberry and roses. Full mouthfeel from the palate which echoes the nose adding watermelon and a hint of ash on the moderate finish. Bright, mouthwatering acidity, of course. A wonderful pink Champagne from a master house. I prefer mine with a bit more red (saignée is my true preference), but for a classic “middle red” sparkler, this one should suit everyone. Drink it when you buy it.

An older bottling but still drinking nicely with raspberry and strawberry fruit and pretty floral notes along with that classic chalky minerality of champagne

This was Pommery’s Sparkling Rose from California. Light raspberry aromas with tart/bright fruit flavors. Bone dry with a creamy mousse. Crisp acidity and reasonable length. Interesting medium pink color. Intensely fruit forward and effervescent. Refreshing!
