This wine is drinking beautifully now - the medium tannins are soft and silky, and the acidity provides a lovely counterpoint to opulent flavors and aromas of violet, raspberry, red currant, cherry, black cherry, and forest floor, with a soft background of cedar, mushroom and smoke. Long finish and absolutely gorgeous.

2018 vintage. Vibrant color and a dirty doggie nose. The funk didn’t drop into the flavor proceedings. Those were gussied up with rose petals, cranberry, cherry, hint of orange peel and cinnamon. Some earthiness came back for an encore and to close out the concert but not nearly as much as anticipated initially.
