St. Émilion Grand Cru Classé Red Bordeaux Blend

1995 vintage. I have little experience with Corbin, an estate that has a long history of female owners ( currently Annabelle Cruse), but this is a very convincing 27 years old Saint-Emilion. Fully mature with delicate strawberry fruit, a fresh and charming old school Saint-Emilion. Abv. 12,5%. Makes me want to taste the more recent vintages.

3rd bottle of 4. Batting .666 so far. I’ll take that if the last bottle works out too.

Red fruit then purple fruit emerge through the midpalate. Vibrant, with plenty going on. Attractive.

Really good. Grippy. Black profile but a distinct freshness too. Certainly this is a delicious and sophisticated wine.

Much better and less evolved than the bottle of this I had a few nights ago.

A bit muddy already, surprisingly.

Birthday wine for me.

Red cherry and plum fruit smooth tannins very-drinkable soft smooth some fresh earth but very fruit forward finish 40

Coffee and chocolate and sambuca.

Has a few years left. Good not great Bordeaux from an exceptional vintage.
