Dry, earthy, herbal, dark, autumnal, an old school and slightly austere wine. Smoky herbs, plum skin, black cherry, lots of soil and rocks on the finish. Very nice hearty winter accompaniment to burgers one night and bolognese the next

I am in love with this wine which, luckily for me, is carried by our local Bi-Rite. It’s become our go-to dinner red

Nose has blackberry, moist garden soil, wet leather, dry 🐄 pasture, mashed black cherry, green pepper slices, oak bark and dry crushed rock.

Palate has blueberry-blackberry juice, dried black mulberry, moist-dried cranberry, moist earthy soil and dry leather. Medium tannins, light acidity with a long finish. Our first aged, red Provence wine, likely not to be our last. Future bottles may be 2024-28+ in proper storage.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache & Syrah; percentage distribution unknown.

The 16 gorgy tastes & smells like a well made Chateauneuf du Pape.

What a value, so much earthy goodness, really shows the Provençal dusty stony hillsides of resinous plants

Rich & ripe, kind of a baby Beaucastel. Great length & texture in the mouth. Red & black fruits with that telltale French funk in the nose. Really nice, but still youthful. Try again in 5 years

Unmistakably Provençal in nature. Both the nose & palette are rich with dark fruits and wild savory herbs. There's an element of Southern Rhône funk in there but the youthfulness of the tannins and the fruit led by the Grenache give the wine lift and spirit. Wonderful essence of lavender. A fun wine with value to match.

35% Grenache, 18% Syrah, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Carignan

7 yrs old. But closed. Weird. Decent acidity. Low alcohol (12.5) . Organic grapes. Should be better. Some good barnyard flavor. What's up?
