Bright red with a magenta rim. Sour cherries hit you first followed by more dark fruits. There's a touch of sweetness and minerality. Surprising acidity and soft tannins. It's a little lighter bodied than I had expected. This needs some air before it opened up but was pretty nice.

May 9th, 2016Aromas and texture were mind bending... Flavors exquisite, black olive charred meat, sweet smoke.... The first sip and I wanted to give it a 10. Finish didn't last quite as long as I expected, but perhaps I was expecting too much.

Rich and heady. My non-somm compadre says: "this smells like beef jerky--is that weird?" No my friend, it is actually delightful. Big and rich but there's an elegance about this. Needs time after opening to unravel. Liken to Shafer's "Relentless."
