Classically styled but austere and joyless for most of the bottle until this last ounce where it came together. I won’t open another for 10years.

Barolo before there was Barolo. Bought for my father-in-law’s 85th birthday. Gently opening over the evening and perfect with the Persian food.

My first birth year wine!

Moving toward pale garnet. High acid, medium dusty tannins. Very little fruit but there is some dried cherry and prune. Crunchy fall leaves. Cigar ash. Dried pink rose petals. It is past its prime but there are no flaws, and the cork was in great shape!

Much belated Christmas wine post 🥳 this was super lovely .... of course it could stand a little bit more age on it but it was honestly very approachable and a perfect foil to osso buco ... it did have this very particular cocoa powder meets dry leaves thing on the nose I’ll be curious to open another bottle and see if that’s a terroir thing....

Just wow. Decanted and enjoyed the first night and truly singing the second night. Super floral, with clay, mineral and red fruits in the nose. Red smooth fruit, light tannins with a soft finish. Beautiful! TLB

Needs time. Plenty of structure, acidity and tannin but a little scratchy right now.

Obiviously too young to taste but it is not a wine for the ages. Decent light structure but don’t see the professional ratings. You can do better for the money. Not an unpleasant wine but certainly not memorable. The year or the wine maker?

Classic Nebbiolo nose but emphasizes more on rose petals and dried red fruits. Light, ethereal on the palate, very easy drinking and soft.

Strangely upon opening quite an oaky nose - blew off but wine felt a tad “hot” despite 13,5% alcohol! Enjoyable balance though between the power and finesse of Nebbiolo!
