Priorat Grenache Blend

Not really my kind of wine, but I can certainly appreciate the complexity and elegance here. The only caveat is that it does smack you in the face with reductive, gassy aromas at this stage. It redeems itself on the palate with sweet, concentrated dark fruit flavours, and heaps of spicy and earthy notes. Medium bodied with dusty tannins. Finishes long, earthy, and somewhat juicy, with a hint of oak. First encounter with this winery and will certainly keep an eye out for their wines in the future.

Blend of Garnacha, Syrah, Carinyena, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, grapes picked at 3 different ripening times, deep dark Ruby, slight purple, with aromas of ripe berry fruit, herb, floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of raspberry, ripe strawberry and black cherry with oak, herbs and licorice. Fine tannins, long finish, complex ending with fruit, oak, spice and mineral character. Will age!

В развитии сладкий красный апельсин, экзотические фрукты. Вкус полный, ягодный, интенсивные танины, довольно высокая кислотность. Долгое интенсивное послевкусие. Очень молодо. 17.5+/20 (94/100)

Big and juicy. Love Priorats and this was a really good one.

Loved this wine. It is modern in style but has so much to say in terms of terroir as well. Almost Bordeaux like nose of pencil lead, fresh cut tobacco and soil. Loads of dark fruit throughout and a super luscious finish

Zowie! Pretty much everything I want in a red wine- dark fruit, smoke, ample acidity and just enough age to meld its pieces together but not so old that it's lost its verve. Great wine accompanying a magnificent hunk of pork.
