🔥 - flat out fantastic! legit northern Rhône profile: very inky no signs of age - huge wafting nose after just a few minutes in the decanter: oozing blackberry spice cake, minty smoky peppery meaty earthy feral - a real wild child, on the palate it was much more restrained, refined, smooth med bodied - again, so much black fruit and all the notes from the nose, really Old World style: great material handled by an artist — 8 days ago

wow, tight as a bowstring, rigid acidic backbone - austere faint stone fruit, maybe some lime, but mostly river rocks, crushed stones - flinty, salty, just a huge vein of minerality & some salinity. focused tension, reminds me of (Grosset) Polish Hill from Clare Valley that needs 20 yrs — a day ago

razor sharp, angular, austere - serious stuff, reticent nose of faint orchard fruit & citrus but not showing much. Stony, mineral-ly, even at cellar temp this was mostly closed for business with an almost frothy zesty acidity. — 9 days ago

QPR out the wazoo - really delicious as a wine, but does not speak to Chianti. Mass produced for the crowds, smooth well- balanced and dare I say somewhat elegant: definitely fruit forward with oozing dark brooding berried fruit & cherry galore, vanilla & gentle subtle spice. delicious - showed like Chasselas, bright, white flowers, delicate stone fruits, herbal, lots of mineral & stone - a blank canvas for light fare or aperitif, decent bit of roundness on mid palate tho still retaining acidic backbone - smooth w/persistent finish — 6 days ago

Easy going CF from Friuli, doesn't scream CF but it did have a delicate fragrant nose of mostly red fruit, dried herbs and a hint of white pepper. Med bodied, decent tannic grip and some acidity made it go down easily. — 11 days ago
