silky & sexy, brilliant light golden/yellow colored with exuberant expressive nose: more orchard fruit than your typical Soave, vivid honeyed apricot & peach, some salinity but most lovely fruit on nose & palate. hefty, weighty - yellow stone fruit & minerality, great mouthfeel and long lingering finish. love this with some age - glimpses of Recioto — 10 days ago
bit shy, needed some time in the decanter - translucent ruby colored, lots of violets and spice, sour cherry and bing cherry, rhubarb, tar, sweet soil, really complex on nose, med weight w/firm tannic grip, flavors from nose on mid palate, nice finish. paired with smoked ribs and it really worked - Father's day treat. i have another of these, believe this is in the pocket right now. *more Barbaresco than Brunello — 5 days ago
impressive - oxidized nose of grilled pineapple, spicy oak, dill, toasted nuts, golden delicous apples, some orchard fruit, lanolin, on the palate it was big & oily, silky & sexy, flavors from nose translated well. long finish, regal bearing - Macon represents great value, but this is on a slight decline so drink up! — 3 days ago
stunner - purchased at winery in Bekaa Valley, outstanding producer, this is an indigenous grape, generous oak treatment, full bodied w/floral profile, some orchard fruit, exotic spice & herbs, just really engaging & complex. huge body, spicy oak on palate, large frame, prominent acidic backbone - long finish — 7 days ago
not too shabby: citrusy nose mingled with petrol & apples, palate was fairly austere & brimming w/zesty acidity - plenty of tart citrus. this was not the soft round Riesling of Pfalz, this was something entirely different - thought this would have fattened up & rounded off with some age, but it was all knees & elbows — 8 days ago

spectacular find: deeply ruby semi-opaque brimming with rich ripe red fruit of all manner, some florals & spice, intoxicating... smooth suave on palate, great extraction from obvious old vine material - harmonious, balanced and elegant through long finish. these guys are doing it right — 15 hours ago
