Seen this for years and thought it was Lodi for some reason, but this is legit Sonoma fruit and made in a very traditional way: all brambly and spicy, great extract and personality. Balanced and cohesive all the way thru modest finish. Great QPR as well — 7 days ago
Not your standard jammy Monastrell: deep wafting (mostly) dark fruited aromas, licorice & minerals, just oozing - peppery notes as well. Broad smooth on palate (med + weight) not much acidity, rugged tannins leading to modest finish. Great QPR @ Costco — 7 days ago
This took awhile to come around and then it really hit: very Burgundian, cerebral, incredibly delineated & detailed nose - every aroma clearly defined. Not overly done, zero body fat, laser focused and engaging. Lighter weight and see thru ruby belies the concentration & pedigree. — 7 days ago

I’m not quite as effusive as @Lyle Fass but this was indeed gorgeous - step above their straight Spatburgunder w/tons of personality. I was really taken w/perfumed nose and earth driven elements. Yeah there’s gobs of decadent cherry, raspberry & strawberry, but the brambly herbal spice elements are downright sexy. It’s all about complexity & generosity not to mention balance & elegance. — 5 hours ago
