OMG!!! If you’re lucky enough to own one of these (or are super lucky to own a case) drink it! It’s at its prime or just past - amazing structure and balance. Beautiful young fruits and acid on the front, amazingly long in the mid (like watch-a-movie long) and an expected, but rarely fulfilled finish and mouthfeel! This is an exceptional bottle and if anyone on here feels they have a few too many in their collection I’ll gladly make it worth your while to taste this Victorian princess again!!! — 8 months ago
Last up on the vertical tasting. The 2017 is definitely the fruitiest with the most refined sugar like notes. Cranberry on the nose. Upfront I get some black cherry with a nice hint of turbinado sugar. Slightly bitter like tonic water. Acid on it is a mild lime. Light juicy and lip puckering. A little young, but I expect it to open up a little more as it breathes. — a month ago
For those that dismiss Del Dotto wines - think again! This wine was perfectly ready to drink immediately upon uncorking with a soft, warm vanilla oak surrounding mature dark fruit. The wine’s richness and balance were more like a Haut Brion than a young Napa cab! Still there are tannins that will soften in the cellar, so balance you temptation to empty your collection! — 7 days ago
Very fruity but solid legs and deep purple colour. Goes well with a light meal. — 6 months ago
Very good for a 2017. Paired excellently with some prime rib. Not necessarily a complex wine but rich for a young age cab. — a year ago
