Vanilla coconut custard. Super smooth. Hints of baking spice on the finish. — 4 months ago
My dad has saved this bottle for about 40 years, and decided to open to celebrate this year’s Father’s Day.
Beautiful amber color. Black pepper, blackcurrant, caramel, fig, honey, and hint of worn leather. Still very intense on the palate but sure footed and as smooth as cashmere. Complex and graceful. Really shows no sign of aging. This could go another 40 years. Paired with a wide range of Michelin 2-star Cantonese cuisine. Amazing experience.

Served alongside beef short rib, xo sauce, pickled mustard seed, cumin stir-fried asparagus. Yes, the 2003 Dominus is big. However, it is also balanced and showing classic Napa typicity with beautifully ripe and some slightly wizened black and red fruit, tobacco, cocoa, some purple flowers and baking spices. I found this to be quite balanced after all the air it saw. Wonderful structure for continued aging as well. Drink now through 2043. — 6 months ago
Strong and spicy and deep and complex. It is fruitier and more aromatic than scotch but also more elegant. Not sure Id pay hundreds for a bottle. Fruity palate with prunes, Corinth raisins and sticky toffee pudding. Palate: Dark chocolate and over-ripe plums. A little sultana character, cocoa butter and spice. Finish: SPICY, vanilla-led finish with all kinds of dark fruits. Hennessy XO if you want something stronger and dynamic; Remy Martin XO if you want a smooth and mellow ride. — 2 years ago
