Promising red fruit on the nose but a bit too tannic—decanting was de rigueur. After 45 minutes it was better but still tight. It took a full two hours to open up fully and show interesting notes of tobacco, earth and pencil shavings to balance the fruit and acid. Tells me that I should wait another five years before opening my remaining bottles. Enjoyed the 2021 vintage with prime ribeye cap steak from Costco, chicken liver pate and Taleggio cheese, with visiting family (William, Teresa, Xander and Samantha). — 2 years ago
Amazing. Thank you Xander Soren!! — 6 years ago
Really nice, bigger than I was expecting, lots of cherry and strawberry. Good acidity, some earth and spice in the background. Overall very good with food. — 4 months ago
I’m biased but this is my favorite vintage. — 4 years ago
Incredibly smooth. Oak forward and still light. — 4 months ago
Really lovely. Well balanced. Raspberries, flowers, cherry, some baking spice in background. Great with food. It’s smooth and balanced. — 7 months ago
Great full body wine. Packs the kick of cab. Spicy and not too sweet. Good finish in back of mouth. Buy again. Bought at Bonnie Brae, Xander rec. — 4 years ago
Had with Loic, Tina, loic's brother and Tina's friend Xander, daveed, chez nous for picnic. A bit peillant initially but as it opened up it had amazing structure, subtle but rich flavor, not juicy at all. Would have again after airing it out a bunch. — 10 years ago

Beautiful wine. Nose of fruits and flowers and bramble. So nice. Palate is more cherry and some strawberry preserves, touch of forest and baking spice, but also some flowers. Lovely fruit and balance. — a month ago
