Very good red for being included in the meal deal at £12. Buy again! Smooth, easy drinking and full of flavour! — 4 years ago
I have no idea why @Delectable Wine puts “Marks & Spencer,” which I think is a British retailer, in the ID of this wine. Anyway, it’s a characterful wine. Very dark color for a Chianti Classico. It’s got an interesting nose of black cherry, a substantial tomato leaf note, leather, and rocky gravel. Rather energetic in the mouth, with deep, dark cherry, that turns savory and minerally very quickly. A bit more soft tannin than many annatas, and zesty acids. Lot of bang for the buck here. — 6 months ago
Hits all the Pinot Noir marks! Maybe 10 years aged helped too. Rich smooth well balanced flavor pallet with light elegant grape/fruit spice and tart notes, enough tannin end to be real and even reinforce the flavors, and a pleasant earthy aroma when you first lift the glass. I’ll look for more but I doubt that I can wait as long. — 3 years ago

Savory, earthier expression of #chianticlassico - bit of funk to start and some reticent plum and dried cherry notes come out after time. Robust acidity on the palate with soft tannins - for the price would be a great weeknight burger wine. — 3 months ago
