Fruity, fresh, a bit sauer, very aromatic, peach, sweet, it reminds me tk@something i cannot describe (Hannah), we would drink this wine in the summer, watching the sunset in a warm place, sparkling. Very recommended!! — 3 years ago
Vintage 2022 | This is the basic Pinot noir of the cooperation Mayschoss Altenahr in the Ahr, the oldest in the world. Ridiculous price and só lovely, bottled raspberries and elegance. Topwine on a Monday evening after a hard days work. Paired with Cantonese beef with mango, a dish we have been making for 30 years and still makes us ultra happy… — a month ago
My first Spätburgunder. So I'm comparing to the Pinot-I-Know.
On the wonderful nose I get more raspberry than cherry. Slightly floral, but a wild floral and a touch of leather. Really great, unique.
Powerful flavor, not what I expected! The acid hits right away but immediately after you get the raspberry on your tongue that your nose was promising. Rich deep texture, again not what I was expecting from a cold weather pinot noir. Thick, earthy texture, clearly unfiltered. Enjoying the long finish where you can appreciate their use of oak- it really melds so well with the fruit- again think of eating the first ripe raspberries of early summer. — 2 years ago
Mayschoss Altenahr is said to be the oldest wine cooperation in the world, founded in 1868. This #liquorwine is made to commemorate this fact. Made from #regent grape, portstyle. #curious and lingering attractive. — 6 years ago

Vintage 2016 | when I bought this in Germany, I asked how long it would last. The Ahr is not known for Riesling, do not keep it too long, was the answer. Wrong answer, imo. This wine is now delicious with awesome sweet/acidity balance. Great! — 6 days ago
