Awfully good. Structure and flavor profile very Morey but different minerality. Still young, easily another decade ahead. — 5 years ago

Dry and sweet. I loved this wine — 9 years ago
Great crisp palette with lively acid and red fruits. Really appealing to start off a meal and a fun bottle to come with — 9 years ago

17/20 — 10 years ago
Undersung meunier, done by one of B-W’s greats. Slightly more rustic expression of pinot, age has rounded off the harder edges. Dark berry fruit, bit of forest-y stalk character to give it backbone. Not complex but resolved. Wonderful midweek drink. — 4 years ago
Gorgeous texture with velvety dark red fruit with notes of game, leather and truffle. Pretty acidity keeps it all in balance. — 8 years ago
I've hit the last 4 out of 5 weekly wine committees and it has been a treat every time. This week, @Jeff Meyer hosted and schooled everyone on how good German wines can be!
I guessed Pinot Noir on all 4 reds...I got 3 correct, but missed this one. Very unique! Had some more world/RRV characteristics in the cedar/brushy undertones. — 9 years ago
What an experience! This ain't jo momma's Lemberger. Full of garrigue, exotic spice and gushing blue fruit. Delivers great sensory pleasure and length. — 10 years ago
Very nice expression of a Pinot from south western Germany - from my high school home town. Starting to show its age with some bricking at the rim. Elegant nose with robust herbal and leathery undertones. Still fresh on the palate, well balanced acidity and subtle tannins. — 6 years ago
Evolving nicely. It still offera some of the blue/piney resin that I loved when it was young. Well balanced. — 6 years ago
Lacking a touch of acidity but otherwise a great blend! — 9 years ago

A thoughtful rather powerful Pinot Noir Rosé (20% Trollinger, too), pale orange in color, redolent of grapefruit skin & yellow rose on the nose, with some heft, as I've got 2014 here in August '16, emerging in the weight. Not a frisky rosé, reflecting Schnaitmann's serious & head-turning Württemberg Pinot Noirs. — 10 years ago
