Plum, raspberries, juicy and fruitful but not overpowering sweet. Dryer than Coopers. Better than coopers. The nose is very strong and elegant. Goes down smooth. Has an "evaporation" effect on the end. — 2 months ago
Nose: elegant white flowers.
Palate: balanced mineral. Green apple. Good density. Burgundian. — 3 months ago
Dog Point Vineyard combines experience of Ivan and Margaret Sutherland & James and Wendy Healy. Ivan and James met while working at Cloudy Bay Vineyards. Light straw with typical SB aromas adding a touch of floral mineral notes. On the palate flavors of melon and grapefruit with citrus and honeysuckle notes, generous acidity, great mouthfeel with long finish ending with a salty spice character. Exceptional wine! — a month ago
Yummy stone fruit aromas, round on the palate with soft but tart lemon curd acidity, nectarine flavors, and peach skin texture. — 3 months ago
Pear and pineapple aromas. Good acidity. Good Santa Barbara stuff. — 25 days ago

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Nose of sweet cherries, currants, blueberries, light cedar, earth, herbs, milk chocolates, tobacco leaf and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with sweet cherries, cooked plums, cedar, tobacco leaf, light earth, herbs and spices.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa valley. Elegant and easy drinking. Fruit forward and complex.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours of airtime. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
I've had a few vintages of this wine and it is very consistent.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
