As you start your walk through their redwoods, there is a stop to taste their Chardonnay. The walk is relaxing & beautiful. However, you could still smell the char in the air as you stroll. The fire came down the mountain to their property line. It was an on-site fire crew from San Jose, Ca that protected their property. When I left our visit, there was a strong smell of char in my shirt from the breeze blowing down the mountain that had burned above them.
Their 16 Chardonnay is good. It’s Napa/Sonoma classic in fruit profile and not crushed in new oak which is the way I prefer it. Green apple, lemon, lime, some pineapple, cream, medium backbone, limestone, grey volcanics, lilies, white flowers & jasmine. The acidity is quite refreshing with a nicely polished & not overdone finish. Wire to wire a pleasant Chardonnay.

Smell like cherry and plum. Powerful, full rose but with mouthwatering acidity. Grilled peaches with a hint of brown sugar but dry from every vantage point. Pink peppercorn lol. Serious stuff — 6 years ago
This is Steve Sherwin's fun and fruit filled Red Wine he produces. Every vantage has it own personality but is always pleasing to the pallet. It is one of our favorite drink every day Red Wine. — 8 years ago
Such a cool bottle. Not as tall as the Freedom Tower, but close from this vantage!
Heavy brioche, like the cheesiest brioche you can imagine. Which I love. Pears and apricot juice. Birds of paradise leaf fronds.
Perfect harmony of creaminess, acid, fruit, and sweetness. Wonderfully rounded. Fine, savory bubbles. Definitely stonefruit and dried apricots and more of that lovely brioche.

Solid wine, in quality and consistency of mouth feel .... It doesn't take you on a journey of taste sensations, more like a nice stationary vantage point of blendy enjoyment. Had 3 bottles now. — 6 years ago
Good aroma, vantage taste. Finally waited for 2 years. Good. @2800, Winona - XH, 161030-181222 — 8 years ago
Wow - tight, lean and long. Like a good white burgundy. Just proves that some good can always come out of a bad vantage. — 9 years ago
