From a 375. I bought this one 15 years ago for $12 and I’ve been waiting to open it on a Tuesday night with some take out Chinese. I finally found the night! At first, it was very tight and backward. Huge tannins that I thought would never fade. I figured it was a 2003 that was off center And funky. After 30 minutes it was still tight but the black fruit rose out of the glass and the tannins faded revealing a beautiful claret that was a little hard around the edges but offered immense pleasure. Fun to find something that was laying around so long — 5 years ago
Oops, forgot I had this in April. Drank alongside a '14 Roulot Bourg Blanc, and paired with a pasta with morel and scallion (light) cream sauce, with some seared scallops on top. This was far and away the better pairing, but it was fun to contrast the two '14s. With the cream sauce, the perceived acidity was perfect for my palate, so an excellent showing, really showcasing the minerality and citrus. Yeah it's Tuesday, but many pandemic-related restrictions were eased today here in cali. What that actually means remains to be seen... — 3 years ago
Took 90 mins to open up. A little bramble fruit at front, then cinnamon, cocoa powder, oak, and spicy black pepper. Still tons of drying tannins at the finish. Yum. Not my standard Tuesday night sipper, but...#coronapocalypse so...why not? — 5 years ago
Raiding my buddy’s cellar while evacuated from Sonoma fires, and making the most of it. I would say this wine has plenty of age on it to produce a super supple mouthfeel, the aromas were complex no overt fruit just plenty of smokey tones followed by a rich complex flavor. Really nice wine for a Tuesday! — 5 years ago
Fruity but dry. Hints of pepper and other spices. Love the unpretentious characteristics. Keeper! — 4 years ago
Couldn’t wait til Tuesday to open! — 4 years ago
Nose has dried grapefruit rind, honeydew melon, dry sage, fresh rosemary and beeswax.
Palate has ripe honeydew melon, dried lemon, lemon juice, acidic pear, orange rind with plenty of dry minerals and acidity for days. Wonderful.
Best bottle yet, can't ask for a more fine Tuesday night wine! — 5 years ago
Dark Crimson in colour. Raspberry and earthy notes on nose. On the palate raspberry, red currant and savoury flavours. This Barossa GSM packs a lot of flavour into a medium weight wine. Excellent intensity and persistence from a good vintage in South Australia. Quite delicious and punching above its weight for a Tuesday night wine. — 5 years ago

At 10.5yrs old, this private label WF cab is, well, straight forward and touch underwhelming. The fruit is clean and does trend toward WA state pedigree, but the power and tannic resolve have fallen short by the order of one magnitude. Very pleasant nevertheless…and completely fine for Tuesday burgers ;) — 3 years ago
