Upea herukkainen, savuinen ja musteinen maku. Tanniinit yllättävän kevyet, mutta antoivat mukavasti ryhtiä. Tarjottu Joulupöydässä poronpaistin kera. — 9 years ago

First time we are trying wines from Ultima Tulie. This Rosé blend is made up of Petite Sirah, Syrah and Mourvèdre.
We have never seen a Rosé this dark, maybe only the Troika Rosé. Deep magenta pink, almost red. Bright on the nose with lots of red fruits, watermelon, roses, raspberries and seems like even a touch of citrus. Bright acidity (6.5/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. Well integrated on the palate with strawberries, watermelon, and strawberry creme with the body building up near the end. Long and lingering finish with good acidity. Drink till 2022. Last winery on day two in Sonoma was Troika Wines with Jeff, Noel and Ari. Next up was their insanely dark Rose from the Split Rock Ranch in Mendocino County made up of 100% Grenache and fermented in neutral French oak barrels.
Deep magenta pink, almost a ruby red in appearance. Lush nose with notes of pomegranate, strawberries, under-ripe cherries and granite. Medium acidity (6/10) and medium plus body. A touch of sweetness on the palate with some iron, cherries, and watermelon. Medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2021.
