On the palate the cherries and vanilla prevail. Medium bodied, some acidic freshness in the midpalate. Tannines? No sir. This is smooth and silky.
Quite simple, bordering on monolithic, yet tasty and delicious.

This is a really nice wine, one of the better N&N cabs. Luscious black and blue fruit. Bit of black cherry as well. Licorice, soil, strong tannins but mellowing out. Nice dense finish. Really strong cab. Lovely! — 3 years ago

N. Rhone style savoriness with big Cali fruit. Dry floral nose of violets, olives, saline, black pepper. Rich fruit laced with spice and herbs. Juicy acid. Chewy tannins. Still a toddler. Gave this an hour decant. — 6 years ago

Monday Night Football and N honest, organic Côtes du Rhône. The name means “bit of licorice” and it fits. Licorice is present in the nose, along with deep iodiney earthiness and dark blackberry skin fruit. Loads of gutsiness in the mouth. Good structure even though the acids are a tad lower than I ideally would like. Still, this is more enjoyable to me than the vast majority of blowsy 15% CDPs out there at triple to quadruple the price (I think this was somewhere south of $15).
