I’ve never had a swing of opinion larger that this. I originally rated this 6.2 and panned it (below). I just stuck this in the back of my bar and forgot about it for months. When I rediscovered it, it (or maybe I) was totally different. Complex, luscious with a long finish and amazing flavors or spice, vanilla, oak, brown sugar and rosemary. It’s a miracle!!
ORIGINAL REVIEW: This just sucks, I guess? Multiple tries over a week and all I get is charcoal and copper. Like, if you took a bottle of Jack Daniels, put 50 pennies in it and left it in a closet for 6 months…you would have this whiskey. Bizarre and terrible. — 2 years ago

Exactly what I wanted, top shelf, beautiful apple floral, fruit, bark… a lot was captured in the distilling.

Nose,: Large, bright, clean, fresh apple, sweet cider, apple tree bark, rocks, soil.

Palette: Palette cleansing alcohol, followed with notes of fresh cider Apples, apple wood and oak, back palette predominate.

Medium finish

Used for in onions with light crushed anise seed for Moroccan spiced brisket, Apple & Honey Sangria, apples & date stuffed challah, as well as enjoyed on its own.

Dude. Duuuuude. Duuuuuuuuuuuude. This is the smoothest bourbon I've ever tasted. Tied the Belle Meade but this one set me back quite a bit more. Toasty. Structured. Delicious. Viscous. Amber color with medium legs. Very pronounced aromas of peet, freshly cut grass, and the smell of a beach bonfire the morning after! Secondary notes of vanilla and toasted oak and even a bit of rubber. On the palate, integrated alcohol with very smooth mouthfeel. Finish is medium + with delightful aftertaste. — 9 years ago

Burnished copper. Aromas of maple syrup, toasted oak, almond, dried fruits, and cherry liquor. Flavors echo the above, plus malted cereal and rum-soaked raisins. Long, very complex finish. — 9 years ago
