Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2017

Crushed black cherries, blueberry skins, sage, stone dust and hints of animal musk, all come together to form a deeply satisfying bouquet on the 2017 Tiberio Montepulciano. On the palate, soft, round textures give way to a twang of tart wild berry fruits, complemented by saline-minerals and then firmed up with grippy tannins. The finish is long and structured, yet still packed with spicy primary fruits and remaining fresh through residual acids. I know Cristiana isn’t a big fan of her warmer vintage wines, but the 2017 has the stuffing to improve in our cellars while still pleasing today. — 17 days ago

Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo 2019

Delectable Wine

The 2019 Tiberio Cerasuolo is wonderfully fresh and perfumed, showing depths of smoky minerals on the nose, giving way to notes of ripe strawberry and wild flowers, with a hint of crushed limestone and chalk. On the palate, silky textural depths are offset by saline-minerality and brisk acids, as notes of cherry with a hint of orange citrus wash across the senses. The finish is long, with a twang of tart red berry and hints of wild herbs, almost salty, and begging me to take another sip. (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2020) — 5 days ago

Tiberio Pecorino

So so pretty: apples, pears, white flowers, minerality. Great acidity! Great food wine I had it with some awesome takeout and it’s available during this crazy time: Royal red shrimp over risotto with peas 😋😋 — 18 days ago

Trebbiano d'Abruzzo 2018

The 2018 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo wafts up from the glass with a fresh display of ripe apricot, young mango and a spritz of lime, as yellow florals develop. It splashes across the palate, fleshing out to show salty minerals and tart green apple, with cheek puckering acids tugging at the senses. The finish is long, tongue-curling and bristling with energy, as orchard fruits and hints of savory spice taper off. Cristian Tiberio is very proud of her 2018’s, and I can see why, as this Trebbiano is drinking like a baby white Burgundy. — 23 days ago

Colline Pescaresi Pecorino

2015. Lemon curd, melon rinds, ocean mist, sun-warmed meadow, both weighty and bracing with an everlasting stony finish. Worth throwing a few in the cellar for a couple years. — 3 years ago
