Insanely good! This shows why they are one of the best sour beer makers. Nose of funky flowers and palate is just so enjoyable. There’s citrus, hibiscus, cream, and tons of sour fruit. Just wonderful. — 5 days ago
Not really a "purist" wine but who cares?... Those guys are a bunch of Jackwagons. It's best to not think of this as a wine and more as a delightful hybrid alcoholic beverage. It is really obvious that the bourbon barrels are heavily influencing the flavor here and that is right up my alley. I wouldn't want every wine to be like that but what this one does, it does well. It's really in a completely different category than a straight-up Zin and should be judged accordingly. — 10 days ago
I don’t always live hopped sour beers but this really walks that balance nicely. Definite farmhouse style with good hop flavor. — 12 days ago
Excellent champagne, celebrate new year and newborn granddaughter. Like it better than Krug or Jacques Selosse . — 21 days ago
Color of shades of purple with bright ruby, quite clear. Nose of tobacco leaves, leather, sweet oak, blackberries, strength of alcohol, and more grape jelly. Probably hint of bourbon barrel spice. Taste follows the nose, quite sweet with hint of bourbon for sure. Dark fruits jelly flavors come after the bourbon barrel note. Some zesty flavors too. And more sweetness. Aftertaste of some more spice and tinkling sensation. On par. — 15 days ago
That surprised me! Great little red for the price. — 16 days ago
Calculated Risk Winery Barrel Selection Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, California
It’s time for a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a nice reddish rim.
Fruity on the nose with blackberries, blackcurrants, black cherries, raisins, figs, coffee, cedar, chocolates, vanilla, licorice, black pepper and spices.
Full-bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and nice looking legs.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward with black currants, blackberries, cola, sweet cherries, cedar, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, light vegetables, pencil lead, vanilla and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Showing nice complexity with a great mouthfeel.
Very tasty, rich and opulent, with a smooth mouthfeel. This is what you expect from a Napa Valley Cabernet, definitely delivers.
Very nicely balanced, good right out of the bottle, and better is it opens up, and shows more complexity. After 2 hours of airtime, tannins show up and bring in nice structure, so be patient.
Still young and needs a few more years to mature properly. Would be nice to try this in 8 years. Has great potential.
Spicy and entertaining. A great sipping wine.
I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses, but would be terrific with a nice piece of steak.
This is just delicious.
14.3% alcohol by volume.

We received Winc for Christmas and this is the second bottle. I liked the buttery thickness, a little bit of honeysuckle, raspberry, and garden hose. Smoky on the finish. — 17 days ago
