Got this wine as a Christmas gift. It’s really lovely and unique. Nose = slate, chalk, terra cotta and ocean air. Body = medium. Some good acidity but not overbearing. Main flavors = cranberry and under ripened pineapple. Some sweetness mid palate with a pleasant dry finish. — 4 months ago

2015:. 9.3-9.4+. Decanted 3 hours. Deep, concentrated dark fruit in a Sicilian package. Big full-bodied Cabernet flavors and terrific mouthfeel make this special. Bit more oak than I’d like (18 months in new barrels) but smooths out with air. Already drinking well but will be knockout after 2 more years. $50 Wine Library. — 4 years ago
