It is a decent Sav Blanc. Crisp, fruity, dry on the plate. Nice summer wine. — 9 months ago
Wonderful with Pat’s grilled swordfish ($23). Subtle oak barrel toast gives the wine a warm chardonnay feel without being overly oaky. Has a chalky flinty mineral mouth feeling. — 2 years ago
Holding up pretty well! — 12 days ago
Very smooth, value wine, highly enjoyable and easy drinking with light palate foods — 3 months ago
Cattail creek wine dinner. Characteristics of pencil lead, tobacco, black cherry, and liquorish. The palate has a lifted acidity and spicy tannins but don't obscure the fruit expression. Paired with petite ribeye en persillade. — 4 months ago
I can imagine this peppery, herbally wine with Onion soup, crostini, strong cheese…. Or on its own with chocolate chip cookies. — 2 years ago

An excellent Martinborough Pinot Noir. Rich and luscious like an Otago Pinot but not as overt as Otago usually is. Red and Black cherry with restrained whole bunch influence. Balanced French oak. Craggy Range is based in Hawkes Bay (the winery is a great spot for lunch!) but they were smart enough to establish their Te Muna vineyard in Martinborough - a much better terroir for Pinot Noir. Bob Campbell MW nailed the brief by saying it “delivers power with consummate subtlety. “ A point or two off for a ridiculously heavy bottle. — 10 days ago
