Fantastic, clean, fresh- sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. — 4 months ago
Dark garnet purple with ruby garnet highlights. Abundant nose of blackberry and graphite leads into a full but lean palate of blackberry, leather ash, and ripe plum. Medium plus acidity and medium plus tannins balance the rich fruit yielding a New World Bordeaux-esque blend that’s ready to accompany any “red wine” meals. Upscale a meatloaf or pair with a porterhouse. Drink now through 2027 (with moderate development). — 5 months ago
Glorious light gold in the glass…ripe pear, melon, peach notes on the nose. But this wine is huge, powerful, a bruiser in the best sense of the word. Easily the biggest, baddest Albariño I’ve tasted.. concentrated, complex, almost tannic. Not a balance issue, but a statement of power and intensity. Dry, but immense pure fruit exuberance. Able to hold its own against spicy North Indian take-out.—Lamb, chicken, and chickpea masala. Definitely not your $20 Albariño, and worth every penny. — 3 months ago
