Plenty of flavor. Great value — 2 years ago
As a Garnachista, I’m embarrassed to say that this, I think, is my first Garnacha from Sierra de Gredos. I may be late to the party but I showed up. Wonderful ripe Grenache fruit, loads of kirsch, a bit of raspberry. Powdered rock dust minerality. It’s a big boy. I broke my “No 15%” rule in buying this. But the alcohol seems balanced. Really nice flavor density. A surprising whack of tannin in the back half of the palate. Lots of savory flavors to augment the fruit. — 4 months ago
This is “A Sierra” if that matters.
Nose: terrific. Fresh crunchy blackberries. Lilacs. As this opens a bit savory. I really like the nose.
Palate: delicious blackberries. Drying tannins which dissipate. Delicious. Almost an elegant glou glou wine. A hint of tomato vine. — a year ago
Fun natural Albillo from Sierra de Gredos — 9 months ago
100% Rufete from small parcels in the village of Miranda del Castañar, in the heart of the Sierra de Francia, to the south of Salamanca. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in used French oak barrels for 7 months. Fresh, juicy, ripe red fruits and some herbal notes. Mineral. Reminiscent of Beaujolais. — 2 years ago

Oddly, a wine with Asian flavors. Strong baijiu aroma on the noise - wild. Bamboo shoot and tofu skin funk, hint of loquat syrup. A bit of savory cinnamon. Would be great with braised pork. — 8 days ago
