The 2020 Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos is a thrilling effort. The nose uncovers rasor sharp aromas of lemon oil, oystershells, green and yellow apple, pear, pastry, white peach and traces of flawlessly integrated oak. The wine's broad shoulders and remarkable flavor concentration are balanced by an almost electrically charged acidity. This is both a hedonistic as well as an intellectual Les Clos from Fèvre with guaranteed aging potential. Drink now until 2050. — 2 years ago
LC 12. So sharp and angular, citrus, high acidity, and bright red fruit - May have even guessed Rosé if I were blindfolded. I loved it but it may not be for everyone. — 4 years ago
Orange blossom, must, oxidation? Salinity? Lemon/Fennel/herbs. High acidity but not sharp - full, pleasant Reminds me of gahier Chardonnay (les Crets) — 5 years ago
A tad riper than expected with more yellow fruits on the foreground. Further very muscadet with a lactic touch and good minerality. Acids are there but not razory sharp. — 3 years ago
Spicy cedar, cigar box on the nose. Sharp bright cherries with an iron and tar base. Smooth integrated tannins with a grapefruit pith tail and a long finish. Very nice. — 4 years ago
Legacy edition. Fine and sharp at the front, great bright fruit. A steeliness with a slightly creamy edge. Still young but pretty amazing material and nice stuff now. — 5 years ago
My favorite of Lamy’s wines. Fresh, focused and with sharp acidity, ripe citrus fruits, crushed oyster shells, white flowers and hints of salty sea spray with ample mid-palate concentration. Finishes with very good length and precision. — 4 years ago
