Bright and dazzling on the nose. Oyster shells, limestone, zesty on the nose. Great fruit with depth but then lovely lift and clarity. 100% meunier. Lean and clear. Excellent

Sharp, mouth puckering acidity, lemon, green apple, some red fruit. Love this wine. 2010. At Perle, amazing Pasadena restaurant.

Flight 2. Just a fantastic bottle of meunier. Tense and complex. Excellent pairing with the tempura

2010 vintage. At Boca di Lupo. Medium golden hue - looks oxidised given the youth of the wine and depth of colour. Thankfully on the nose it’s great! Baked granny apples, honey and honeysuckle and baking spice. Touch of autolysis. On the palate, nutty and deep, with huge acidity that creates a lift in the mid palate. Although there’s some fleshy character from the Meunier, it’s certainly no ringer. Good Tart finish. Although young, it’s very delicious and drinkable now. Excellent. A style of Champagne that is very appealing with food.

Chardonnay but with more body. Red and yellow apples, Bartlett pears, hint of brioche, minerals.
