Shan Tu

Clos Mogador

Com Tu Montsant Grenache 2018

The 4th and final wine in the tasting yesterday at Clos Mogador. Montsant to the north provides the Priorat tasting experience without the expense of Priorat. This was 100% Grenache. A bright maroon in colour showing red fruits of strawberry and also pomegranate which carry through onto the palate with a touch of cinnamon added. Good value and great for current consumption. — 22 days ago

Château de Jarnioux

Beaujolais Gamay 2020

Bought the bottle in New Harmony at Sara’s. It a favorite of her patrons, and a good price. Quite dry, so Shan did not like as much as I did. Very fruity and more diverse the longer it sits open. — a year ago

Cantina Giardino

Tu-Tu Campania Fiano

Really tasty white with a light body and a quick finish. This wine oddly tastes like banana cream pie and I’m here for it. — a month ago

Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Mazuelo 2015

Différent de son frère rouge un peu moins cher. Plus rond, boisé, différentiel. Tu aimes ou non. En fondue comme ce soir parfait. — 7 months ago

Johan Vineyards

Farmlands Pinot Noir 2018

I love everything Johan is doing! This is now my favorite mid-week Pinot. Unfiltered dark cherry notes with spice that hits just right. A crowd pleaser for B and Shan. I also love his 2 higher tier Pinots and the gruner was really interesting (blended, skin contact - reminiscent of an orange wine but an interesting expression of the grape). — a year ago
