Hits well above its weight. Lots of purity of fruit (all red), which is just starting to get slightly desiccated around the edges. Lots of porcini powder and meaty elements which I think are Brett-derivative. None of the thinness usually associated with the vintage either. Little to no wood-influence, and if it's there, deftly integrated. Strange we don't see more of these wines on lists or in stores if this is generally indicative of the domain's quality. — 9 years ago

Was a bit disappointed this wasn’t higher. Maybe a bit closed? Has a bit of that crunchy berry note on the nose and palate. But really quite light bodied with a thin finish relative to what you expect for a nice Gevrey. Not bad at all with a roast chicken and mushrooms but still didn’t quite get there for me overall. — 6 months ago
