4/13/2017 Heard Serafin made great wines for the 2007 vintage, and was lucky to find some. This is indeed impressively concentrated for the vintage. Very ripe , but balanced blue fruits, some funk (from Brett?), well integrated terrior of earth and animale, almost covered by the fruits. Softened tannins. Starting to peak now but can easily hold for 5 more years — 8 years ago

Was a bit disappointed this wasn’t higher. Maybe a bit closed? Has a bit of that crunchy berry note on the nose and palate. But really quite light bodied with a thin finish relative to what you expect for a nice Gevrey. Not bad at all with a roast chicken and mushrooms but still didn’t quite get there for me overall. — 9 months ago
