Red and black fruits - cherry. Generally muted on the nose, even the following day. A big Pinot on the palate - it needed to be with curried prawns with plenty of heat. The following day similar notes - a good accompaniment to strong flavoured foods. Medium + savoury notes on the palate , yet to fully blossom, with fine Sandy tannins. A couple more years in the cellar would be beneficial. 99 points from Kiwi wine scribe, Bob Campbell MW. — 3 years ago

Picking up a little texture and body with the years, some honey and white flowers with nice acid — 4 years ago
Very good. Very Pinot, not overly funk. Currants, little bit of chalk. Worth a second case. — 6 years ago

Great memories of being in Sonoma in summer but this is a year-round Rose. Perfectly balanced, slight acid, strong mineral flavor, and some funk on the nose. — 4 years ago

From Yesterday, Scribe Syrah, so stinking perfect, might be the best Syrah…. — 4 years ago
Fascinating pale gold straw color.
A cidery in the nose. Pears, fresh cut cold apple slices, peaches, slight essence of cardamom.
What a refreshing quality of effervescence to add to a tart, mineral, and blade of grass of a wine.
This is just fun, and reinvents this varietal for lovers of Riesling.
Always see the producer around and Simply Wine just added new bottles to their collection, subbing this slot in for Scribe (which is good, known, and kill the branding game, but not always best value).
Plus we got Finger Lakes in the house, which always feels great to support the local-ish wine scene.
