A blend of about 57% Chardonnay, 43% Pinot Noir, pale lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with spice notes, tiny bubbles on soft mousse. On the palate flavors of apple, apricot and lemon citrus texture with notes of honey and sweet spice. Youthful, lively acidity, long finish ending with vanilla, yeasty spice and mineral notes. — 8 months ago

I’ve been a fan of these bubbles for a long time, and was happy to grab a few late disgorged of this and the JSchram.
In all honesty, this came across so much more BdB/JSchram than I ever expected. When comparing to the 2010 Reserve I had last year, this came across much more crisp, bright and chard heavy as opposed to Pinot. Hardly any nougat, roasted cashews, etc. Much more lemon scone, pear, white peach, tiny bit of ginger, and white chocolate. Gorgeous layers and mousse.
Kudos to the team keeping this as fresh as it is after disgorging in 2021. I normally prefer the Reserve early, but based on this, this will cruise 10-15+yrs easy. — 3 years ago

Surprisingly ready nose, like fresh crust of a sourdough, with Buddha’s hand or star fruit dry citrus merged with some dry mineral freshness. There’s actually a hint of band aid in there as well, though not off putting. The bubbles dissipate relatively quickly, but the palate is long and lingering, with tons of acidity, some slight baking notes, and a nice dry, energetic finish that keeps the dry citrus at the forefront. — 4 days ago
