Meeresboden Vineyard Grüner Veltliner 2023

2023 vintage. Wanted the intensity of previous vintages tasted but wasn't getting it on the back palate. Still, would hit this if encountering in the wild. 01.29.25. — a day ago

@Joseph Barsky Me too and great guy to boot. Joined the mag club and glad I did, they have been aging so well.

Las Alturas Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

Really tasty. Perhaps the first Cali Pinot noir that I’ve enjoyed, also probably because it drinks more like a zin. Dark opaque red. Slightly smokey. Full bodied. Bought it on sale for $35. Would love to have again. Had with apps on New Year’s Eve, but would be great with food and could even hold up to a heartier meal (steak, etc). — a month ago

Kick-On Ranch Riesling 2021

Probably one - if not - the best Cali Riesling. Smokey and rich, hint pine needles, touch band aid, plenty of acid. Quite austere. Atypical almost Chablis like. I do really like this! 13%. 125 cases made. — a month ago

Yeah, I’ll take Tatomer as the best, non-dessert styled Riesling producer in the new world.

'Tri Appellation' Santa Barbara, Monterey, Sonoma County Pinot Noir 2021

Wagner did a nice job with this Pinot. Nice clarity in the glass. Notes of bright cherry, herbal notes, black tea and a ting of vanilla. The finish is more than ample. Maybe the bottle age adds a bit on the back end. Better than its RRV sister. — 23 days ago
