International blend of Sangioveto, Cabernet and Merlot from Maremma with high acidity. Sour and elegant food friendly wine. — 6 years ago
Took like two hours to show me what she’s made of. Damn. Hurry up. Maybe she wanted to lay down for like , I dunno , ten years but who has that kind of time? Finally interesting when she warmed up to what’s going on. Thanks for shyness Paolo - you made me wonder — 2 months ago
The 2018 Chianti Classico is an absolutely joyous wine. Bright red cherry fruit, tangy acids and sweet floral notes all run a translucent, super-expressive Chianti Classico that quite frankly knocks it out of the park. The 2018 is so delineated, so vibrant and just so incredibly delicious. The purity of the flavors is just remarkable. The oak needs a bit of time to fully integrate, but it already has over the last few months. This is what Sangiovese (called Sangioveto here) and Chianti Classico are all about. Best of all, the 2018 is a screaming value. Don't miss it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2020) — 4 years ago
Ruby, a blend of 90% Sangioveto, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Ciliegiolo grown in the Il Poggiale vineyard, and spent 18 months in French (1 year old). Red fruit aromas and floral spice. On the palate cherry and raspberry with notes of sweet earthy spice. Fine tannins on a medium+ finish, good balance with acidity yielding to a fresh ending with a zing of spice. Nice! — 7 years ago

100% Sangio. 100% incredibile! For a 28th anniversary dinner with my wonderful wife. Sight unseen (so to speak) I was impressed beyond words. Went to Coltibuono this summer but didn’t taste this; however they swore up and down that the Sangioveto had the goods. And it did in spades! So rich and savory. The depth of cherry fruit and silky tannin is off the charts. I only wish I had another bottle to age for 3-5 years and taste some heaven then. Molto buono!!! — 7 years ago

Definitely easy drinking, good with some pasta or variety of foods. Would go with an older vintage if affordable — 11 days ago
