Powerful, ripe red fruit, sour acidity, and a light grip. — 5 years ago
When it first release for a 2007, it was the First Washington wine to score 100 points. More closely tore to Skull Syrah. — 7 years ago
Earthy from the aging (2011), black licorice, amazing rotten fruit, lemonade. Thanks PMO — 8 years ago

Paul T, Missing My Beautiful Wife 24/7
I saw a bottle of 06 Royal City close on auction yesterday for $285.00, @Bill Bender had no idea they could fetch that kind of cash nowadaysCork was rotten on bottom half of cork. As it opened up was relieved no cork or bad wine. Smooth, velvet, leather and black cherries. I really enjoyed this wine. — 9 years ago
2021 vintage. Fans of Friulian PG, Pinot Gris, Chenin, Campanian whites, Vermentino, etc. please apply. Medium- to full-bodied with coppery color, suggesting skin contact. Overripe pear, lemon peel, rotten apple, leaves. Village appellated Cretan white. Beautiful package. Very Fall appropriate. Very grounding in a tumultuous time! Love you, Douloufakis! — 4 years ago
SB17 - fun but eggy — 6 years ago
The first nose is barnyard funk and rotten eggs all over the place. Ewww. Then comes green pepper, then comes pepper and other spices, then black currant and red berries. Much more my stuff. The palate is rather demanding. A strong acid backbone, a salty layer, a nice black currant / cherry persistant note, some grip, some tannins too. Long finish with salt, meat juice and red and black fruits on an instable balance. Rather very good and surprising. This is very good stuff considering the price tag (around 12€) — 7 years ago
Scorched earth, dried herbs and rotten berry fruit, tannin abound and a lengthy, weighty finish. — 8 years ago
Our favorite from Moore Bros. so far. Smells vegetal, but not rotten or mossy. Medium bodied. Dry. Not fruity, except maybe something like sour plum. Easy to drink. — 9 years ago
Alright, so Nick wants you to decant this white on ice for roughly 45 minutes if not longer. Battonage going on, unfiltered, oak aged Chenin.. inside the bottle looks like swampwater, I LIKE IT! Keep in mind the age: the color's golden, a firm orange copper (oxidated) it just started off with rotten limes then transgressed into cleaner apricot, nectarine, honey-baked bread (dry Sauternes you would think). On top of that, the alcohol is 14.5% which is where I'm at. If you think you can party on a Wednesday, start with this. Super geeky wine.. just a little minerality like limestone or something underneath with a nice brett/barnyard/goatshit/hamster cage goin on. I tip my cap to this wine, I applaud its audacity👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 — 9 years ago
Citrus, apple, and seashells. Reminiscent of Chablis. Fresh but a bit taut. — 4 years ago
Vibrant. Pear, green apple and violets. It tastes and smells like rich dew on an early Spring morning glistering in the sun. A new dawning! Like it will be for my brother Wim. Couldn’t be a better wine to celebrate him coming out of coma today after a terrible fall fracturing his skull. He responded well to testing the basic functions. Breathing on his own again. Yes a road to discovery has been created. A new dawning. Thank God for his healing touch, for hearing our prayers, for having Wim in his plan. Cheers!!! — 7 years ago

Rotten sour peach gummies — 8 years ago
The nose like barely rotten fruit. A taste that was buttery and deep, with just a hint of mold. — 8 years ago
100% Nebbiolo
Bricked purple. Opaque, non transparent. Compact rim. Looks its age.
Aromas full of earthy characters. Black truffle, ashes, damp soil, wet rotten woods, with licorice flavored coffee, slight hint of dark chocolate.
Structurally, this wine has a long way to go yet. Substantial but completely integrated tannin, medium to med full body (14.5 abv), medium to med plus acidity, dry. Dried black cherry, fig, prune and plum. Fine texture. Mineral and ashy notes. Dusty. Balanced, carrying through from the first sip until the finish. Last very long on that enticing dried fruit and ashy profile.
At a great place to drink now. At $30+ in NYC, this's got to be my find of the year so far. Amazing bottle. Loved by everyone I shared with. 92. — 9 years ago
bouquet of brown sugar, prunes, slightly rotten plums, a little balsamic, ripe black cherries, ink, blackberries, savory meat....tasting contributed: burnt sugar, black plums and a little coca-cola with roast duck!.... rich and soft thanks to the grenache, with the nielluccio giving some steely acidity. fine tannins as well. wow! thank you Corsica. — 9 years ago
