1996 vintage. Decanted and tasted over the course of two hours. Plenty of sediment. Chunky nose with translated into the early flavor profile but lessened with time. Decent focus and concentration. Some grip but enough dark fruit remaining to mitigate the tannins successfully. Not improving but can hold steady in this range for another 5 or so years. Not super complex yet solid enough for vintage BDX to seek out without compromising the 401k/Roth IRA. 11.9.23. — a year ago

Liked Roth better. “Light,” but very enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon from Phil. Christmas gift basket. — 4 years ago
Deep ruby to purple in color; black cherries, graphite, and cassis on the nose; medium acidity; high tannins; tastes like blackberries, black plums, and baking spices with a long finish. Nellie likes it. Jason loves it. I love it too. It's very well balanced. A really good wine. — a year ago
