Rounder, softer style compared with the other sites. A honeyed note amongst the citrus, and a soft finish. — 6 years ago

Steely, grassy with a hints of dried pear and straw; Beautifully balanced nose. Soft pear, smooth buttery biscuit like palate. Very interesting Grand Cru and an awesomely different Riesling. — 10 years ago
Fresh and bright, with a solid combination of minerality/petrol and warm honey-esque richness. Happiness. — 11 years ago
Great aroma with some spicy apricots, whilst fruity and full its not at all sweet. Acidity is fresh and long lasting. — 12 years ago
100% Riesling from Zind Humbrecht’s monopole site in Hunawihr, not far from Trimbach’s Clos St. Hune (within the Rosacker Grand Cru). Like Clos St. Hune, it sits on rocky Muschelkalk limestone soils, which allow this Riesling to develop wonderful concentration and minerality. Clean, precise nose with notes of smoke, citrus and minerals. Pure, focused, austere. Chalky texture. Racy acidity. Exceptional — 2 years ago
Maison Pettermann, Rosacker Alsace Grand Cru Pinot Gris 2019
This is an off dry wine but wow, this is great and this is probably the best pinot gris I have ever tried. We paired it with egg fried rice with a healthy dose of chilli oil in it (quite hot even for my standards), fish sauce and sesame oil, and it held its ground very nicely. What a pairing! I served it a cellar temperature so about 14 degrees Celsius.
The nose shows really nice notes of ripe pear, white flowers and maybe rose petals (?) and a tiny touch of zest. The palate is absolutely lovely with a great acid drive and a nice width, a very soft and lovely, cushiony mouthfeel, a bright pear note all along that continues in the end along with those tiny zesty touches that come back. This is a great expression, especially along an homemade egg fried rice plate ✌🏻 — 4 years ago
Beautiful and showing age but not too much. Not super petrolly but definitely has the quality. — 7 years ago
Rather sweet and very easy drinking... — 10 years ago
sehr ausgeglichen. Könnte im Ausbau auch aufregender sein. — 11 years ago

Tuoksussa pursuaa petroli ja eksoottiset hedelmät. Suutuntuma on leveä ja hedelmäisen makea. Happorakenne on tyylikäs ja maltillinen kantaen makua pitkään. — 9 years ago
Easily one of the best Rieslings I've ever had. — 11 years ago
Off dry but nice acidity and body! — 12 years ago
Peter van den Besselaar
Vintage 2019 | very young imo, initial impression simply closed, second day lovely mineral impressions, vague hint of honey, saline. Delicious refined taste. Paired with 1st dish of watermelon, sea aspargus, grey shrimps and a pickled crème, 2d dish steamed haddock with hollandaise sauce, bimi, broad beans and rice. Lots of potential. — a year ago
