Black berries and vanilla nose , medium to full body, medium dry, very soft and silky tannin , adequate acidity makes it very well balanced. Good balance — 6 years ago
So smooth. Fruit forward, but more bold than sweet! Rich and dark. — 7 years ago
Wow... super into this glou glou wine. Very cherry, super tart, strawberry rhubarb wine... the color is gorgeous. Medium bodied unfiltered yet the color of a dark sangria— dark magenta and not red. It’s so good. Smells like the perfume counter at Bloomingdales in the 00s, kinda a leathery musky and then Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb all around. This wine is really good AND a great deal since it comes as a liter. Highly recommend! And I’m not normally a fan of cool climate wine. — 8 years ago
Vintage 1976 | Kinheimer Rosenberg. Alfred and Rolf Merkelbach were greatly appreciated by winefriend Eric. And vice versa, for sure. Because the mythical brothers considered their Rieslings as their ‘children’ that are hard to say goodbye to. But Eric could buy this 49 y old Riesling with deep mahony colour, a ‘Halleluja’ apricot smell and awesome balance. Heavenly nectar. A treat. — a year ago

Smooth after 30 min decant. Dark red berrries, cherry, tobacco spice and dried fruit. Paired it with Viktor Rolf Spice Bomb — 7 years ago
High intensity aromas of black fruits - blackberries, black currants, blueberries. Dark and milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee and sage. Palate matches the nose but interestingly, not as intense as you would expect from the bouquet. — a year ago
Enjoyed at Rolf & Daughters in Nashville on 10/13/2024. — 2 years ago
