Caramel, stewed apples, pears, nuts. Viscous dark brownish-yellow color. Great almost 100 year old dessert wine. — 3 years ago

18.5 deep brown, v complex nose, unctuous, very long. Aperitif, after dinner, with salty cheeses (Roquefort!). — 6 years ago
Had this with the Toffee and smoked pecan dessert, paired perfectly. Also paired great with banana ice cream and caramel popcorn. — 7 years ago
Deep, burnt orange hue. Aromas and flavors of beeswax, dried fruit, honey, marmalade, and preserves. The palate is reminiscent of baklava (with nutty, honey, and date notes). An exemplary dessert wine that should be served in a pairing. 100% Grenache Blanc. — a year ago
Caramel. Bananas and apricot foster. Toasted almond and hazelnut. — 2 years ago
NOSE: sherry and brandy-like. Distinct raisin, caramel. Orange (candied), lozenge, varnish, vanilla, baking spices (cinnamon, clove, etc), Rum-like marshmallow. Irish (pot still) whiskey. Laffy taffy.
TASTE: More acidity than expected, over the top raisin. Sulphur (not in a bad way, in a raisin way). Chilled apple cinnamon hibiscus tea with sugar and orange juice. Not my style - but it is made well. 90.
EDIT: someone mentioned roasted nuts and they are right. — 4 years ago

18.5 very special. Such a complete wine, rich but not cloying, very long. Perfect with Stilton. But even better by itself. — 6 years ago
— 7 years ago
